What is combined hot runner system?

   Today, insert molding technology, coinjection molding technology, and multi-component injection molding technology all rely on hot runner support. A large number of parts such as car bumpers, etc. can only be formed by hot runner molds due to limitations in flow paths, wall thickness ratios, and fusion joints. The role of the hot runner system in injection molding is increasingly important.


   

    Although the hot runner and injection mold are a whole, its function is completely different from that of the mold itself. For the independent units of the system, the installation, connection and operation of the units have special high precision location requirements. For these reasons, the assembly of hot runner system is a bottleneck for mold installation. Therefore, avoiding errors in the installation of hot runner system and simplifying system connection and saving assembly time become a very important topic.

 

Design of conventional hot runner


The hot runner system is derived from the hot runner system. Usually, the nozzle is not always installed on the splitter plate and can be attached to the nozzle flange, but the system needs to be fixed to maintain the system. For most plastic processes, the temperature difference between the hot runner and the die is due to the temperature close to 200 ℃. If the system is connected to the die plate, it will increase the temperature and increase the loss of heat, and there may also be a flow dead angle between the diffuser plate and the nozzle.

When the hot runner needs to be repaired, the hot runner must be completely removed from the die. Because the nozzles are not connected to the shunting plate, the electrical and hydraulic circuits must be completely disconnected and connected after the repair is completed.

 

Combined hot runner system

    In the combined hot runner system, the nozzle and diffuser plate form a simple unit. The melt flows directly from the diffuser plate to the nozzle, resulting in no deviation and flow dead angle. The leakage phenomenon between the nozzle and the diffuser plate is eliminated by embedding the threaded nozzles into the diffuser plate. The traditional Bush system design will produce thermal expansion, and this combined system is particularly effective in eliminating such leakage.The combined heat flow system is located at the center of the mold and is connected with the mold very little, and its manufacturing material does not require high thermal conductivity, nor is it required to set clamping and pretension to the die. This minimum connection provides a high precision and stable temperature curve, so the energy consumption is much lower than that of the traditional hot runner system.The combined hot runner system can directly assemble the hydraulic circuit independent of the mold. The valve gate directly driven by hydraulic equipment can be directly installed on the system, so that the control valve on the traditional machine is omitted and the injection molding is more flexible. In addition, electrical appliances and hydraulic circuits can also be configured according to customer requirements. Since the system will experience electrical, temperature, hydraulic, or air pressure testing before delivery, the customer will get a description of the pre installation system so that it can easily be installed in the mold and immediately put into production.When the mold or system needs regular maintenance, the combined heat flow system can be dismantled from the mold with a simple step, so that it can be repaired and tested independently.

    Usually, the combined hot runner system reduces the maintenance cost. The complete hot runner system is based on the combined assembly design and installation. During the assembly process, the conductors of the heater or thermocouple are removed. The wires connected to the heater and distribution box are placed in a specially designed conduit, which is beneficial to the disassembly of the mold or hot runner system. At the same time, the integrated hot runner system can carry out routine maintenance without disassembly, thereby saving time and reducing the probability of assembly errors.
